SUSTAINABILITY

SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

Following consideration of the importance of environmental sustainability and a commitment to be a continued benefit to the local communities that we work in and service, Unique Building Services is committed to strive to achieve environmental and social sustainability for all insurance rectification and maintenance related works we undertake in the community.

Unique Building Services commits to continually improve our environmental and social sustainability performance.

Our Business Improvement Team, who holds responsibility for improvements to our Health and Safety policies, are also taking ownership of our Sustainability Policies throughout the company, nationally.

Elaine Lia has been appointed as the Sustainability Coordinator, who has responsibility for ensuring ongoing environmental performance, identification of environmental risks, recording and monitoring of impacts and implementing environmental and social sustainability measures.

Special consideration will be given to employing and empowering the local staff and wherever efficient and environmentally sustainable, products and services will be sourced locally.

We encourage staff to present our commitment to environmental and social sustainability and our status under the “Green Team – One Team” philosophy.

We will continue to run team building exercises to encourage team “buy in”, as it has been identified, even if our Executive Team and Team Leaders are passionate about the environment, not every individual in our organisation currently has or will have the same values or desires to undertake changes for the better on a continual basis. We need to identify their individual “buy in” to get them on board, and maintain their interest.
