Building Consultant – Shepparton

UBS currently has a vacancy for an experienced and self-motivated Building Consultant to join our Shepparton team.

You will be responsible for:

– inspecting building damage to domestic insured properties
– investigating the cause of loss or damage
– quantifying the repairs and determining the best method of repair
– estimating cost of repair 
– report writing

To be successful in this role, you will need the following as a minimum:
•    Minimum 3 years experience in similar position    
•    Trade background and excellent knowledge of housing repairs
•    Ability to write up comprehensive assessments for each job
•    Eye for detail with assessing and analysing claims
•    Ability to produce accurate priced scopes of works  
•    Exceptional time management and organisational skills
•    Ability to provide excellent customer service and successfully manage customer expectations
•    Ability to work without supervision, as well as in a team oriented collaborative environment

Extensive travelling within the region is required.  Police Check, Work With Children Check, Construction Card and Driver’s Licence are also required for this position.

 

Painter – Victoria (Western Suburbs)

UBS currently has a vacancy for an experienced and self-motivated Painter for the Western (VIC) suburbs.   

While painting is the primary function of this role, there will be an adhoc requirement to undertake minor building maintenance works (plastering, tiling, carpentry, etc).

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:
•    Trade qualification with minimum 2 years experience as a painter
•    Experience doing small maintenance work 
•    Strong customer service ethic
•    Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision as well as in a team oriented environment
•    Sound verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to recognise problems/issues, and implement appropriate solutions
•    Ability to prioritise tasks and meet conflicting deadlines
•    Demonstrated high level of personal integrity
•    Ability to adapt to the requirements of a multi-skilled team
•    A strong commitment to WHS

Police Check, Work With Children Check, Construction Card and Driver’s Licence are also required for this position.

Painter – Brisbane

UBS currently has a vacancy for an experienced and self-motivated Painter to join our Brisbane team.   

While painting is the primary function of this role, there will be an adhoc requirement to undertake minor building maintenance works (plastering, tiling, carpentry, etc).

Standard hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm (40 hour week).  Extensive travelling is required at times as area of coverage will be as far as South of Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:
•    Trade qualification with minimum 2 years experience as a painter
•    Minimum 2 years experience doing small maintenance work 
•    Current drivers licence, Working with Children and Police Checks
•    Strong customer service ethic
•    Innovative and practical approach to problem solving and negotiation
•    Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision as well as in a team oriented environment
•    Sound verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to recognise problems/issues, analyse, formulate and implement appropriate solutions

Senior Project Manager - Shepparton

UBS currently has a vacancy for an experienced and self-motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Shepparton team. This position would suit someone who lives in Shepparton, or in the North-East or South areas of the region.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing construction works to ensure they are completed on time, within budget parameters, and in compliance with legislative standards.

The Senior Project Manager is required to work closely with consultants, local authorities, surveyors, builders, sub-contractors, property owners and insurance companies, to ensure that essential projects are provided on the best and most favourable terms.

Responsibilities include:

 Appoint and supervise sub-contractors and trades
 Track work progress
 On-site Inspections
 Monitor scope of works and variations

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

 Thorough residential construction knowledge and experience
 Must be a licensed trade
 Possess exceptional people skills
 Strong time management and administrative skills
 Be self-motivated and able to use initiative

Experience working with insurance companies would be well regarded.
